Al-Harabah College of Science and Technology Launches Digital Transformation Era in "Journey of Success and Excellence" Ceremony

The College of Science and Technology Al-Haraba held a distinguished celebration on Thursday to mark its Digital Transformation, under the theme “College of Science and Technology Al-Haraba… A Journey of Success and Excellence”, in the presence of the college administration, faculty members, staff, and students, reflecting a strong spirit of institutional development and ambition.

The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Sheikh Mohammed Adel Brermo, followed by the Libyan national anthem. This was followed by a series of official speeches highlighting the college’s journey and future direction. The Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Taher Al-Ghandouri, delivered a speech outlining the college’s path toward development and digital transformation, followed by a speech on behalf of the faculty delivered by Mr. Khaled Al-Aq, a speech by the supervising committee delivered by Mr. Anwar Khalifa, and a speech representing the college staff delivered by Mr. Al-Taher Boukriba. The event was professionally moderated by Mr. Nour Al-Din Atiya Al-Hamadi and Mr. Mousa Madi.

The program also included a documentary presentation delivered by Mr. Mohammed Omar Atiya, highlighting an overview of Al-Haraba Municipality and showcasing the institutional evolution of the college, from its early beginnings as basic classrooms, through the Higher Institute of Comprehensive Professions, then the Higher Institute of Science and Technology, to its current status as the College of Science and Technology Al-Haraba. The presentation noted that the college has graduated nearly 1,600 male and female students from various regions across Libya, from Southern Al-Zawiya to the city of Ghadames.

In addition, outstanding student presentations were delivered by students from the Administrative and Financial Professions Department and the Pharmacy Department, demonstrating the practical and community-oriented role of these disciplines.

A key highlight of the celebration was the official launch of the college’s website and its integrated electronic system, representing a major step forward in student services by enabling students to manage their academic journey from enrollment to graduation. Mr. Al-Sadiq Kroud, the College Registrar, provided a concise and clear overview of the system’s features and functionalities.

The event also featured an open dialogue session with students, attended by the Dean of the College, the Director of Academic Affairs Mr. Walid Atiya, the General Registrar Mr. Al-Sadiq Kroud, and the Head of the Medical Professions Department Mr. Ahmed Youssef, during which students’ academic and administrative inquiries were addressed.

 

The celebration concluded with honoring top-performing students for the academic years 2023 and 2024, as well as hosting scientific exhibitions by the Pharmacy and Electrical Departments, reflecting the dedication of both students and faculty members. The event reaffirmed the College of Science and Technology Al-Haraba’s commitment to a digitally advanced future and to delivering high-quality technical education aligned with modern workforce demands.
